After a day of exploring the stunning landscapes and wildlife of San Cristóbal, we found ourselves craving a laid-back dinner spot with good food and a welcoming atmosphere. La Delicias Resto Lounge, located conveniently near the waterfront in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, offered just what we were looking for—a perfect blend of casual dining and flavorful dishes.
Warm Vibes and Waterfront Views
As we walked into La Delicias Resto Lounge, the ambiance immediately struck us. With its inviting mix of rustic and modern decor, the restaurant felt cozy yet sophisticated. The open-air setting allowed for a pleasant breeze, and from our table, we enjoyed glimpses of the harbor as the evening lights reflected off the water.
The staff were friendly and attentive, greeting us with smiles and making sure we felt right at home. It’s clear that this spot caters equally well to travelers and locals, creating a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere that invites conversation and unwinding after a long day.
A Feast for the Senses at La Delicias
The menu at La Delicias Resto Lounge offered an enticing variety of dishes, blending local Ecuadorian flavors with international influences. We started with refreshing drinks—two of us opted for local beer while the other enjoyed a fresh fruit juice. The juice we had in the Galapagos was excellent.
For our main courses, we couldn’t resist trying their fresh seafood options. My son and wife shared a massive langoustine. I opted for the chicken breast. The massive lobster was served with plantain. The chicken breast was served with fries. Both portions were massive, leaving us satisfied at a very reasonable price point. The langoustine is priced based on size. This one was priced at $45.
The langoustine comes in several sizes. They were out of individual portions, which run starting around $25 when we visited. However, they had several of the larger options available, which serve two people. The restaurant provides an option for several different preparations.
